Our Services
Child & Maternal Health
Pregnancy check-ups, child health monitoring, and family planning support for mothers and children, from infancy through adolescence.
Pregnancy and early childhood bring a lot of questions. Primecare Medical Health Centre supports mothers and children through this stage with regular check-ups, monitoring, and guidance at both our Sasolburg and Phalaborwa practices.
Appointments are scheduled with enough time to answer questions thoroughly, since pregnancy and early childhood often come with a fair number of them.
What does child & maternal health care cover?
This service brings together antenatal check-ups, prenatal ultrasound scans, and ongoing monitoring for both mother and baby, along with child health checks as your little one grows. Consultations are scheduled around each stage of pregnancy and early development, so any changes can be picked up and addressed early.
Who is this service for?
This service is suited to expectant mothers who would like regular antenatal care, as well as parents seeking check-ups, growth monitoring, or vaccinations for infants and young children.
What should I expect at my appointment?
Antenatal visits typically include a physical examination, a review of your pregnancy history, and an ultrasound scan where appropriate. Child health visits focus on growth, development, and any concerns you may have as a parent. Bring along your clinic card or previous scan results, where available, so your practitioner can track progress over time.
Would I need ongoing support?
Maternal and child health needs can change quickly, so follow-up appointments are scheduled as needed rather than on a fixed timeline. If anything feels different between visits, you are welcome to book a consultation sooner.
Do you provide ultrasound scans?
Ultrasound scans form part of antenatal monitoring at both practices, helping track your baby’s growth and confirm key milestones throughout pregnancy. Your practitioner will let you know when a scan is recommended and what to expect beforehand, so there are no surprises on the day.
If any concerns come up during a scan, your practitioner will talk you through what it means and what happens next, so you always know where things stand.
